When we went to Srinakarin Train Market last weekend, there was one store that attracted us to walk in. Its called 90’s Boy Toy.

It is a store that is located in the night market. It is easy to notice a life-size stormtrooper of in front of the store. Of course, after we saw it, we immediately knew that this shop sell everything that is related to Star Wars.

This is the owner of 90’s Boy Toy. We call him P'Game.

“I don’t do it for the profit, I do it because I want to share culture with people who love Star Wars like me,” said P’Game who is the owner of the store.

The very first thing that owner said to us was "You guys were the first group I got interviewed by," he said. Thai Rath also wants to interview him but it will happen later. The owner revealed that this is the biggest store in ASEAN where people can buy toys and products of Star Wars. He told us that he originally sold these in a car booth sale. Then more and more people have become customers and fans of the store. Eventually, he decided to open his own shop and the store has been opened for three months already. The main target group of this store usually is Adult who is around 30-40 years old.

All toys and products mostly imported from Japan and the U.S. The most popular goods are stickers. There are some special and rare items that the owner bought them from Star Wars collectors such as the Star Wars poster.

This is a poster of Star Wars in Thailand from last 40 years ago.

He also shared the story of how he chose to initiate this store.

So why Star Wars? For him, Star Wars is a legend. He has grown up with the films. He told us that Star Wars has been with people for more than 40 years and he believed that it would continue to be with us.

He admitted to us it was because the limitation of Star Wars product in Thailand. He said that there were many times that he wanted to buy some stuff of Star Wars. Every time he went to toy stores, all stores always had just a few products or just one shelf about Star Wars, which really disappointed him.

Therefore, he wanted to start something new about it. He wanted to build a center for people who love Star Wars in Thailand.
