GO  BACK  IN  TIME

Srinakalin Train Market can blow your mind away if you discover an antique world in the market.

Last week, we went to Srinakalin Train Market. To be honest, that night market is huge. After walking around for a while, there was one area that grabbed our attention. That area was full of classic decorations. It was like we suddenly were dragged into ancient time.

The first store that we walked in was PAO  Antiques.

This place sells a lot of old-time products that were mostly imported from Europe. All of these goods are older than us. There are lamps, furniture, radios, tea sets, clocks, and posters that people can buy here. The atmosphere and the decoration totally make anybody who walk into the store feel like they lived in in the past.

The second store we walked through was Hua Heng Shop.

This shop was amazing because it sells rare items in the past of Thai society. Some products in this store look familiar to us because we saw them in our childhood. This place was like a time machine because it made us felt young again.

We were so lucky that we got to interview the owner’s wife of the shop.

We call her P’Nhoi.

P’Nhoi revealed that most of customers of this shop are collector.

Some of them buy products for decoration their restaurants or their houses. When we asked her about a product in the store that is very difficult to find, she pointed out to washing powder on the shelf.

She said today the brand has already changed its spelling but the one on the shelf was spelled in an original way. It is very old and very hard to see nowadays.

She also told us that the most popular items in this store are glasses and candy boxes.

Last store that we went to was Yesterday.

This store gathers numerous products from the past. When we were in the store, a lot of people stopped by. The store is not that big but contains a lot of interesting commodities. Many of them absolutely surprised us because we have seen them only on television but we actually saw them in this store. It was a cool experience for all of us.

That day was one of our greatest journeys that we will never forget.
